Authoritative parenting and permissive parenting are two most famous and adopted parenting styles over the world. So, which one is better?
Authoritative Parenting Style
Authoritative parenting style is considered as most balancing and healthiest move towardsparenting. Authoritative parents sets some limits, but these limits they do so just to protect their children. Authoritative parents raise their children in sophisticated manner without any harsh orders. Based on the child’s age, parents set certain boundaries to their child. Parents make the children aware about their every wrong doings and express it in a very humble way. If children’s behavior is good, then parents give them some reward to their children. The children of such parents become disciplined and responsible by facing all kinds of situations in their life in matured way. This method is advised by most of the people for the development of their child.
Permissive Parenting Style
In contrast, Permissive parenting gives total freedom to their children for their activities. Permissive parenting do not set any kind of boundaries for their children‘s behavior and even don’t have any rules and regulation. The children of such parents misbehave in various circumstances of their life. For the sake of their own selfish interest, parents are unconcerned about their children lives. Because of such behavior from parents, the result of their children‘s behavior is usually the same.
Authoritative Parenting Style makes a child more sensible and matured person so that he or she can handle any situation of life in a responsible way as opposed to permissive parenting. Authoritative parents share their own life experience with their child in such a way that children will become more responsible and disciplined in their life. By applying Authoritative Parenting Style, children can behave sophisticated in public areas or in front of their relatives.
